টেকসই ও নবায়নযোগ্য জ্বালানি উন্নয়ন কর্তৃপক্ষ (স্রেডা)

The Signing Ceremony of the Project Document of the project titled “Promoting Energy-Related Low Carbon Urban Development (LCUD) in Bangladesh” was held on 02 November 2025 at Economic Relations Division (ERD), Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka. Mr. Md. Shahriar Kader Siddiky, Secretary of ERD on behalf of the Government of Bangladesh; Ms. Farzana Mamtaz, Secretary, Power Division as implementing ministry and Mr. Stefan Liller, Resident Representative, UNDP Bangladesh on behalf of the UNDP have signed the Project Document. At the signing ceremony, Mr. Muzaffar Ahmed, Chairman (Grade-1), SREDA and Engr. Md. Muzibur Rahman, Project Director of the aforesaid project and Director (RE), SREDA were present. Bangladesh will get US$ 3.76 million as a grant from UNDP GEF. The objective of the project is “To reduce GHG emissions by enabling investments in renewable energy and energy-efficiency to support urban development in Bangladesh”. SREDA, under supervision of Power Division will implement the project in Dhaka and Chattogram City Corporation areas within June 2029.
